Thank you for your interest in attending this retreat. I'm so happy you'll be joining me! We're going to have such fun exploring the town and creating poetry and art together! Here's a photo of the beautiful Victorian Linden Tree Inn B&B where we'll be staying. Owned by genial hosts John and Tobey Shepherd (also pictured here), Linden Tree is located in the town of Rockport, MA. Just drive through town, pass Front Beach on the right and take a left onto King Street. The inn is about halfway up on the right (#26). I'll be gladly waiting to greet you in the front room for the start of this wonderful adventure!
Enjoy your dinner before arriving on Friday night, then come to the inn for a Meet & Greet at 6:30pm with a short welcome and some guided writing time to follow directly afterward. Finally, tuck yourself in for a restful evening and be ready to join us for a nice breakfast that includes Tobey's famously delicious scones!
On Saturday after breakfast, we'll have some fun playing together at our first art session. Weather permitting, we'll take a walkabout through town together that ends with finding lunch and doing a bit of solo exploring (or small group, if you prefer going with friends). If you're not up for a sit down meal indoors, get yourself a sandwich or a bowl of chowder and sit by the sea to soak in a little inspiration. Lunch and quest with friends or grab some alone time before meeting back at the inn for another art making adventure. Afterward, rest a bit, do some more sightseeing or work on a project until time for a specially prepared dinner. We'll have a third meeting together after dinner, with an optional late night walk to the sea (weather permitting) prior to turning in.
On Sunday morning, pack up your things then come join your friends, old and new, for a lovely brunch before saying farewell. If you'd like, the inn will allow you to leave your car and head downtown for one last look around and a little shopping before heading home. Doesn't it all sound delicious?

The Fine Print -
All retreat room fees, a meet and greet time Friday evening, breakfast and dinner on Saturday, and brunch prior to leaving on Sunday plus all taxes are included in one very reasonable price. (Please do consider tipping the ladies who keep your room clean at the end of your stay. There will be a little envelope on your dresser.) Saturday lunch on your own gives you the opportunity to explore the town. Payments in full are required one (1) week prior to the event. Cancelled reservations will receive a full refund (minus $50 fee for holding open the space) offered until one (1) week prior to the event. If another person is able to claim your space, a full refund will be offered up until one (1) week prior to the event. NO refunds offered after this one (1) week period. Agreement to these terms is required and assumed by your payment and registration. Thanks for your cooperation!
